In early March Second Stitch hosted a 'Sew Your Own Belt Bag' workshop run by Clementine Sandner of 'Mikan', a Japanese accessories label. Coinciding with Melbourne's VAMFF (Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival), Broadsheet featured our event in their 'Things You Can Do' segment, which you can read here.
"French designer Clementine Sandner upcycles traditional, discarded Japanese textiles (such as kimono silks) into new bags for sale. But she also hosts sewing workshops where she details how they're made."
